Typical American: The Painted Faces

Subjects with their faces painted are not uncommon results in Typical American, representing upwards of 10% of the results so far out of over 2,500 generations. These selections show the broad range of face painting styles, from ultra-patriotic, to terrifying. Sometimes the face paint looks worn, as if applied days ago, lacking color and appearing poorly applied, other times the makeup looks fresh and professionally done. These Typical Americans appear to be trying to express themselves more creatively than their unpainted counterparts.
