WORK 07
Shadow of the Wheel, 2012

The ditch system in the Colorado Front Range is an intricate network of man-made troughs that carry water from the mountains out to the Eastern Plains. These networks were essential in the transformation of the Front Range from a desert climate to a more riparian one. Now far removed from the past, current residents of the area are often unaware of the history and important of this waterways, as a transplant to this region I found myself fascinated by them, and spent the better part of 3-years exploring them on foot and with my pinhole cameras in tow.
